Chinese Startup named NextEV has just officially unveiled an electric supercar called NIO EP9. NextEV said this supercar can run a maximum distance of 426km with a full charge and a charge takes only 45 minutes.

Although the detailed specifications of the NIO EP9 have not yet been announced, according to NextEV, the engine can produce 1,340 horsepower, twice as powerful as the Tesla Model S P90D.

With such a powerful engine, NIO EP9 can reach a maximum speed of 312km / h and accelerate 0-100km / h in just 2.7 seconds. This is the fastest electric car in the world today, surpassing Rimac's supercar with the speed of 297km / h.

Like other super cars, EP9 has an aerodynamic design, soft lines and extremely low roar. The car is also equipped with the most modern technologies including self-driving technology. But it is likely that it will have a speed limit when in self-driving mode.

NextEV is expected to produce only 6 EP9 units and the price for each of these cars is 1.2 million USD (equivalent to 27 billion VND). EP9 is used by NextEV to polish the name before launching a cheap electric self-driving sedan or SUV.

NextEV was founded by high-tech entrepreneur William Li in 2014 and is currently funded by the Chinese internet giant, Tencent. With this strong backing, NextEV is planning to build its first factory in China.
