Composer 'adventure' with digital toys
Imogen Heap's Mi.Mu glove technology allows musicians to do their jobs without the need of a computer.
Just by moving your hands when wearing gloves Mi.Mu , users can change the parameters of the sound created by this pair of gloves, from the height, volume to the instrument used. Heap says that to produce a song with Mi.Mu still requires a group of people.
If this Kickstarter project receives enough capital, the Heap team can complete the hardware and software design. At the same time, Mi.Mu will be compatible with all operating systems, opening up new possibilities for musicians.
Mi.Mu's final design is also open source, meaning that anyone who wants to make hardware adjustments or software upgrades is given the chance.
"We wanted to create a pair of wireless gloves that almost any musician could use to make music." In the past 18 months, the material, hardware and software of the pair The gong has been redesigned many times, and the project is mature enough to reach users through Kickstarter. "
