Today (September 12), NASA officially announced, after 18 months of moving the Moot robot has reached the foot of Sharp mountain ahead of the expected deadline. Scientists were fortunate in changing the route of the To Mo Mo in the condition that the wheels of robots had bad signs, due to the rugged rocky terrain on the surface of the Red planet.

Initially, To Mo will cross the boundary between the plain of Gale Crater crater and Murray Buttes smooth rocky area. Because robot wheels show signs of not being good, scientists have changed the travel route of Mo Mo, bringing positive results compared to the original plan.

'In the next two weeks, Mo Mo will approach the rock called Pahrump Hills , where the first drill will be made at the foot of Sharp Mountain,' said John Grotzinger, geologist at California Institute of Technology.

The decision to stop moving and start working hard on the way will meet the expectations of the Mo Mo robot mission assessment. Because before that, the science team of the Curious project was criticized for having challenges that were not in line with the proposed scientific objectives.
