For scientists, the presence of lines of hand plays a role in helping people live when they hold things.

Many people think that the lines of the hand can foretell the future of some individual through the art of looking at generals. But from the scientific point of view, the purpose of the folds in the palm of the hand is just to make the skin stretch and squeeze more easily.

When people hold hands, the folds will create an opening wide enough for the skin to not protrude and make it easier to hold things. So we always have bold folds in the middle of the bones on the fingers.

Finger lines begin to appear in the womb in the womb during the 12th week of pregnancy, and will be available in the baby's hand just after birth.

Most people have three broad lines that stand out in their palms, but sometimes there is only one road, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) said. The palm of the hand that has only one wide line may be a sign of abnormal development and is often seen in children with down syndrome (a defect caused by an excess of a chromosome).
