Scientists believe that the unusual color of the snake Lycodon zoosvictoriae helps them to be undetected, despite efforts to find decades-long snakes in the Cardamom mountains. 'The snake has just been endorsed in Cardamom,' reptile researcher Neang Thy said.

Wolf wolves have no venom, but they will defend themselves when in danger. Their fangs can cause serious skin damage. They often eat lizards and occasionally catch frogs. They kill prey with sharp fangs like wolves.

Female wolf snakes have a much larger number of male wolf snakes and they often breed before the rainy season. An average female lays 4 to 11 eggs. After about 3 months, the egg will hatch into a snake with a length of 14 to 19cm. When fully matured, wolf snakes reach a body length of about 50cm.

Scientists say the latest finding shows that there are still many undiscovered species in the area of Cardamom Mountain, Cambodia.
