Discover the farthest galaxy ever

Using NASA's two space telescopes, American astronomers said they discovered the most distant galaxy ever found in the universe.

The combination of the power of Hubble and Spitzer glass has created an unprecedented image, making the most distant galaxy ever observed reveal in the form of tiny red spots on the dark background of the universe.

Although only a small part of the size of the Milky Way, the ancient galaxy was determined to appear when the new 3%-year-old universe is now 13.7 billion years old.

Named the MACS0647-JD , the galaxy was observed at 420 million years since the Big Bang event, and its light traveled 13.3 billion years before reaching Earth.

The MACS0647-JD is particularly small, with only about 600 light-years across. Experts say it is in the early stages of forming a larger galaxy.

'This object may be one of the galaxy's assemblies,' according to Space.com quoted leader Dan Coe of the Space Telescope Science Institute.

The team hopes to continue exploring dwarf galaxies in the early universe.
