Discovered pink skin hippopotamus

During the actual photo hunt, two British photographers Will and Matt Burrard Lucas discovered a very rare pink hippopotamus in the Masai Mara region, Kenya.

This is considered a very special case when the hippo is pink. On their very prominent pink skin they still have patchy black spots. Therefore, the skin of this hippopotamus is not considered a result of albino phenomenon.

This striking skin color of the hippopotamus will make it more difficult than his kind in life due to being too prominent. Light and thin skin also puts the animal at risk of sunburn.

The hippopotamus seem to have matured but its size is smaller than many other hippos. It also seems timid and often goes next to the mother hippo.
