Only yellow bearded fish have been discovered in China.
The group of scientists including 15 people, led by Professor Chen Lixin, spent 9 days exploring caves in the town of Ha Tri, in the Guangxi Autonomous Region. They discovered a total of 8 caves within 20km and discovered the blind fish, known as the gold whisker fish, which was found in a cave in Zhai'ao village.
The only yellow beard , which has a scientific name is Inocyclocheilus grahami , is classified as an extremely dangerous group by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). According to Professor Chen, this blind fish only lives in clean, unpolluted water with small populations. Pollution per school is increasingly serious, pushing this species to the brink of extinction.
In addition to the only yellow beard, the group of scientists also discovered a species of shrimp here, showing that the water environment in the cave is in very good condition.
