Dogs become 'stars' for raising monkeys
A dog in Bangladesh became famous after rescuing a monkey escaping death and feeding the poor animal with its milk.
Many flocked to Shipar Reza's home in Bishwanathpur village in northeastern Bangladesh to see his dog in the past few days. Mintu, the name of the dog, is raising 7 children.

Reza said that a herd of monkeys regularly rushed into a rice field of villagers to get food. After once chasing them away last month, people caught a baby monkey. Reza adopted the animal. He tried feeding him the Mintu milk and found that the dog did not have any reaction when the monkey was lying with its offspring.
'Now the monkey sleeps with Mintu and the puppies. Mintu barks and shows anger if someone touches the monkey. He often carried the monkey and ran through the village. A month has passed since I received the monkey, but it doesn't seem to want to return to the wild environment , 'Reza said.
Dogs that feed other animals are not too rare. In May, Chinese newspapers reported a dog in Xixiakou Zoo, Weihai City, Shandong Province, feeding two tiger lions. Another dog in Chongqing City, China raised a pig after its five children died in 2007.
