In an official announcement on the Twitter website, NASA said the ship carrying nearly 1.6 tons of research specimens successfully hit the Pacific at 19:05 GMT. (2 hours 5 minutes this morning in Vietnam time).
After landing, Dragon will be transported by ship to a port near the city of Los Angeles before being taken to SpaceX's facility in Texas for inspection.

In this third resupply mission, Dragon took 28 days to transfer all 2,268 tons of materials and equipment to ISS, including specialized ones serving more than 150 scientific experiments this year.
The Dragon was successfully launched on April 18 with the Falcon 9 boosters from Cape Canaveral air base. Earlier, the launch of the Dragon ship was delayed twice due to technical problems.
SpaceX is owned by Elon Musk, a billionaire co-founder of Paypal. This is one of many private companies cooperating with NASA to make round-trip flights between the Earth and ISS.
Under the $ 1.6 billion contract signed with NASA, SpaceX will carry out at least 12 supply flights for ISS for many years to come with a total of 2.2 tons of cargo carrying each batch.
In addition to SpaceX, NASA is collaborating with Boeing and Sierra Nevada corporations on the development of a manned private spacecraft to reduce dependence on Russia's Soyuz in carrying crews to ISS.
