Elon Musk claims to link the human brain to the computer for four years

Tesla founder and CEO Elon Musk says his newly founded Neuralink is working on ways to connect the human brain to a computer interface by creating micron-sized devices.

In the interview with Wait But Why, Musk said that Neuralink is aiming to launch a product that will help prevent and treat serious brain damage caused by a stroke, cancer, etc. in about 4 years.

" If I convey a concept to you, you will primarily engage in telepathy," Musk said in an interview published on April 20 .

At a technology conference last year, Elon Musk said artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (machine learning) would create sophisticated computers and, like the gods, humans would need. Implanted "nerves" in their brains to catch up with the development of AI.

In a recent interview, Mr. Musk said: "There is a whole bunch of concepts in your head, then your brain has to compress at an extremely low data rate. This is called speaking or typing ( speech or type) ".

"If you have two brain interfaces, you can actually implement a non-compressed direct communication experience with another person."

This technology may take about 8 to 10 years to be usable by people without disabilities, which will greatly depend on the approval time of the regulations and the devices that perform well. For people with disabilities, Mr. Musk said.

In March, the Wall Street Journal reported that Musk had founded a company through which computers could merge with the human brain. Neuralink was registered in California as a medical researcher in July last year and Musk spends his own money on the company.
