Enhance the value of Melaleuca trees
Scientists from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology have just studied the technology of extracting Melaleuca and activated carbon from Melaleuca. Melaleuca leaves are often used to induce sympathy, no industrial value.

Melaleuca trees have only 1/4 value compared to the previous due to construction works using concrete foundations. With melaleuca oil, scientists have found a process to extract about 95% of terpinen 4-ol.
To get activated carbon, scientists studied the low-quality melaleuca burning process into coal, using the activated charcoal technology to become activated carbon.
Activated carbon is now used to filter toxins in water as well as reduce harmful gases .
According to Dr. Phan Dinh Tuan, Vice-Chancellor of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, this year, the test factory can be built in Tien Giang province for people to learn how to recover and refine Melaleuca essential oil in the direction of industry. .
