According to Acient Origins, this woman is considered a supernatural phenomenon in her time. Eusapia Palladino was born on January 21, 1854 in Italy. She married Raphael Delgaiz, a stage artist and a magician from a very young age. Many people believe that she has learned a lot from her husband's special ability. Later, she married Francesco Niola, a merchant.

At that time, many people doubted her ability. They thought that it was just a magic trick. In the process of communicating with the dead , she often makes a table hovering in the air. Still, her soulful sessions were packed with viewers who trusted her special ability.

Palladino's reputation began in Poland. She first came to this country and stayed from November 1893 until January 1894 at the invitation of psychologist Julian Ochorowicz. There, she had the opportunity to know Polish writer Bolesław Prus. He attended many soul calls of Palladino and praised her in the press. Later, she was also the inspiration for him to write the Pharaoh novel. The second time she returned to Poland was in 1898.

Her reputation from Poland brought her to England in 1895. This is also the first time she faced strong criticism. A British newspaper frankly demanded Palladino's expulsion and said there was no scientific basis for considering her as capable of calling souls .

Confirmation from Marie and Pierre Curie

Later, Palladino came to France and became famous here. In 1898, astrologer Eugene Antoniadi investigated whether her ability was real and concluded that it was a hoax from beginning to end. Many other scientists also want to find out about her abilities. Leading this group is the famous scientist couple Marie Curie and Pierre Curie.

The first meeting took place in 1905 not only for the Curies but also for other scientists such as Charles Richet, Henri Bergson, Jacque-Arsene d'Arsonval, William Crookes, Jean Perrin, Louis Geroges Gouy, and Paul Langevin .

Pierre Curie recorded this as follows :

" We attended many souls calling sessions of Eusapia Palladino at the Center for Spiritual Studies. It was very interesting indeed. The four table legs were slowly lifted up by others. Self-moving objects. it pinched or stroked you. The ghosts loomed, these phenomena are indeed inexplicable , " he wrote.

" In these souls, we arranged for some people to attend. We knew these people well, and no one could be an accomplice or assist Mrs. Palladino. The only basis for people to doubt. , that this co-grandmother is actually a magician, but how do you explain it, when during the process, someone holds her hand, the one who holds her, and the light is enough for us to see clearly everything ".

The Curie scientist and wife saw the case of Palladino from a scientific perspective. They recorded and discussed with other researchers. They seem to want to find the origin of this special power . It is the participation of serious scientists like Pierre Curie that makes Palladino the most influential grandmother in the world.

From France, Italy to the United States, Palladino travels more and more places, becoming more famous and causing many doubts.

More and more scientists come to the souls meeting. They wanted to know why celebrities like Piere Curie and Marie Curie admired her. Above all, they want to explain the phenomena. Famous American scientist Charles Sanders Peirce wrote:

'' Eusapia Palladino is an excellent deceiver. Mr. Carrington, who attended soul calls, said he noticed Palladino had wooden legs, helping her to do tricks. However, there were times when he could not explain. He hypothesized that the phenomenon was supernatural or abnormal.

Palladino does not seem to care about detractors. She agreed to hold a soul call at Columbia University's physics laboratory. In front of magicians and scientists, she once again proved her ability.

In 1910, the researchers discovered that she used her left leg to lift the table. This again aroused suspicion that she was a fraud. American psychologist Stanley LeFevre Krebs wrote a book entitled The Eusapia Paladino's Chatter.

Meanwhile, many people confirm that they can talk to dead relatives through Palladino. Even scientists are convinced when they receive the information she gives after talking to their relatives. Once, she could even call her soul and talk to King John of England, losing 1216.

If Eusapia Palladino is indeed extraordinary, she could be considered a threat to politicians, magicians and even scientists. Many people want to decipher the mysteries around her but so far, no one is sure that she is a magician capable of mesmerizing the audience or that she is an extraordinary ability.
