Birds in the video are Socotra cormorants (Phalacrocorax nigrogularis). They live only in the Persian Gulf and the southeast coast on the Arabian Peninsula. The first birds were discovered on the island of Socotra in Yemen. So they are called Socotra cormorants.

This bird lives in very large flocks. Scientists have recorded the herds of Socotra cormorants with the number of 250,000 when sleeping. When feeding at sea they can form a herd of about 25,000. Like cup species, they dive into the water to find their prey. Scientific literature notes that Socotra cormorants can dive underwater for up to three minutes.

Bahrain is a country made up of Persian sand islands. The country lies between Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
