The exhibit was obtained as an incubator with four large cut eggs. These eggs cost tens of thousands of dollars if smuggling to Dubai, the United Arab Emirates. They were taken to the hamlet at the Bird Care Center in Santiago, Chile but only had one hatched egg.
Young birds are placed in the nest of two adult cutting birds until they are strong enough. Three weeks later, the bird was healthy enough to survive in the natural environment and was taken back to Patagonia. Two climbers put young birds on the nest where it was stolen on a 30-meter high cliff.
"The mother bird flew back to the nest, fed her baby and took the baby's arms and hugged her, a sign that her son accepted the presence of the young in the nest," said Rafael Asenjo, Chile's Ministry of Livestock and Poultry.
The big bird (Falco peregrinus) is the fastest flying bird in the world, able to reach 385 km / h when hunting prey. They live in many parts of the world, however, the albino cut mutant is endemic to Patagonia.
