Found freshwater lakes that once existed on Mars
The Curiosity probe of the US Space Agency (NASA) for the first time detected direct evidence that a freshwater lake once existed on Mars.

There is currently no water on this lake area, but the results of exploration and analysis of rock layers carried out by scientific instruments on the Curiosity probe show that the lake once existed in favorable conditions. for bacteria to grow about 3.6 billion years ago.

Stone samples contain signs of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen and sulfur. These are ideal conditions for bacteria to grow. The study was published in the journal Science and at the American Geophysical meeting in San Francisco, California.
'This is the first time we have found that Mars rock samples provide evidence of the existence of lakes,' said Dr Sanjeev Gupta, a member of the research team, in an interview. with AFP. 'This is a big discovery because lakes are the ideal environment for simple life forms to develop and maintain for a long time.'
While no life forms were found in the rock samples, Mr. Gupta said the Curiosity probe had drilled down the sandstone as well as mud and found clay minerals, showing an interaction with water.
Scientists have found evidence of water in many places on Mars's surface and previous orbital exploration vessels also collected data showing that the red planet is likely to exist in lakes. sweet.
NASA selected the Mars landing point for the Curiosity probe in August 2012 as the Gale crater because it is said to contain many geologic layers and is likely to have water.
