Mars may have existed glaciers
A group of Danish experts said that Mars once had glaciers with large amounts of ice.
Glaciers may once exist on Mars
According to the University of Copenhagen expert group, large amounts of ice existed at an altitude of 300-500 m on the southern and northern hemispheres of the red planet. Researching radar measurement data from satellites of the US Aerospace Agency (NASA), scientists concluded that these are actually glaciers.

"We have been observing radar data for the past 10 years to observe the thickness of the ice layer as well as their activity. We compare the activity of the glacier on Earth and from there can create model of ice flow , " IB Times quoted Nanna Bjørnholt Karlsson, a research team member, as saying.
They estimate that the glacier on Mars contains about 150 billion cubic meters of ice , enough to cover the entire surface of the planet, a 1.1 m thick ice sheet. The amount of ice at this height is an important part of the water sources on the red planet.
Earlier, data from NASA probes showed that a large lake once existed on Mars billions of years ago, reinforcing the evidence of microbial life on the planet.
