Giant king cobra stands up straight like a human, creating a terrifying scene
Recently, a clip went viral on social media about the image of a cobra "standing upright" like a human, causing a stir among netizens .
It is known that the video was posted by an employee of the Indian Forest Department, Susanta Nanda, on February 27 and after a few days attracted more than 360,000 views on Twitter.
Accordingly, the clip depicts a cobra standing straight, as tall as a human, stretching its eyes far away on a promontory. Forest ranger Nanda said : "King cobras can actually "stand upright", reaching the eye level of an adult. They can lift about 1/3 of their body off the ground to stretch their eyes further away."
The clip received a lot of attention from the online community after being posted. Many netizens left comments expressing surprise and fear at the scene of the king cobra's "proud" posture. One netizen wrote: "The king cobra knows how to "stand up" as tall as a human, proving the danger of this reptile. This really gives me chills."
The cobra stood tall and erect, as tall as a man, gazing out into the distance on a promontory.
The king cobra is known to be one of the most dangerous venomous snakes. They can grow to be 3-4 meters long and weigh about 9kg. A single bite from a king cobra releases enough venom to kill 20 people.
Even in an upright position , the king cobra can still move. It will stretch its body forward to attack its opponent. The ability to "stand upright" gives it the advantage of looking larger than its opponent.
