Giant spider discharge snake meat - the science scene has never been seen before

For the first time in history, scientists saw giant tarantula spiders attack and slice flesh a snake bigger than it many times.

Snake-killing spiders are not too rare, because snakes are poisonous, but can even die of their own poison if bitten right. Therefore, some species of spiders are too powerful to handle "beautiful" snakes.

Tarantula Spider has a fierce appearance, but no venom.

Tarantula is different. It was a giant spider genus, with a fierce rough-haired appearance, but no venom. Therefore, snake-killing tarantula is a phenomenon that has never been recorded in nature.

Yet it has already happened! Recently, experts have published solid " tarantula " case for the first time in history.

The incident was discovered by Leandro Malta Borges - a student at the University of Santa Maria (Brazil), when he was with you "hunting" tarantula to study. They saw a giant tarantula hiding under a rock. And just below it is the body of a snake.

Images are making many people stunned.

It is the Almaden snake (Erythrolamprus almadensis nomenclature) . This snake is not too big, only 40cm long, but that is more than enough to outstrip the tarantula in both volume and size.

There has never been any evidence that tarantula has venom, Borges said. That proves that it uses only pure strength, taking advantage of 2cm long teeth and extremely strong jaw muscles to kill the snake.

"The spider's ability to hunt snakes is many times bigger than it really is," said Borges. Usually, tarantula can handle birds, frogs, lizards, or mice. If you want to kill a snake, it's only when the spider combines both elements: spider silk and poison.

The tragic death of the snake.

"It has been recorded that snake-hunting spiders, but these are poisonous spiders of the" black widow ", and must rely on spider silk or environmental advantages," Borges said.

With this discovery, it seems that people have to review the ranking of the power of wild animals. Clearly, spiders are much more respectable than we thought.

The discovery was published in Herpetology Notes.
