Gums bacteria also help identify as fingerprints
Scientists found that bacteria in the gums can reveal the owner's identity like fingerprints.

Examining nearly 400 different types of bacteria residing in people's gums, researchers from Ohio University (USA) were able to identify what types belonged to a white person, Chinese, American Latin or black people do not have Spanish roots.
The dental community praised this as a breakthrough for medicine, because it can now help doctors determine why some people are more susceptible to certain diseases. Research also proves, a certain form of dental care may not be suitable for everyone.

Previously, dentists had believed that people used the same "good bacteria" in their mouths. However, in the newly published study, the researchers found only 2% of the common bacteria in the four races mentioned above. In addition, each race shows that their gums are "home" of the characteristic, genetic bacteria.
Using an intensive DNA sequencing method, the team was able to carefully and unprecedentedly observe the gum gums in their own hiding places. According to the team, the bacteria reside directly below the gums most characteristic because they are least affected by food, cigarettes and toothpaste.
With the discovery that some races possess these bacteria while others do not, dentists can now develop more specific treatments for dental diseases.
"We all know that our food and oral hygiene habits determine which types of bacteria can survive and proliferate , " said Purnima Kumar, a professor of dentistry who led the study. This is why dental experts recommend that people should brush their teeth regularly and use dental floss, does our gene structure play a similar role? There are no two people who own the same gum system, so this could be a real identification mark like fingerprints. "
