How happy is Vietnam in the world in 2018?

Vietnamese people are happier than Indonesians, Laos and Cambodia, according to the latest rankings.

The United Nations (UN) has just released a report on the happiness of 156 countries around the world, in which Finland ranks first , the Guardian reports.

2018 World Happiness Report (2018 World Happiness Report) is the annual report of the UN Sustainable Solution Network. The happiness index of each country is assessed based on many factors such as GDP per capita, life expectancy, freedom, social support, awareness of corruption .

This year, Finland surpassed Norway to become the happiest country on Earth, according to the report. Following positions are Norway, Denmark, Iceland and Switzerland respectively.

"Finland jumped from No. 5 to first place in this year's ranking," the report's authors wrote.

Vietnam ranked 95th in the rankings, unchanged from last year. This means that Vietnamese people are happier than Indonesians (ranked No. 96), Lao (110) and Cambodia (120).

Some other Asian countries in front of Vietnam are China (86), the Philippines (71), South Korea (57), Japan (54) and Thailand (46).
