How small is the Earth when viewed from 870 million miles away?
So far, there have been quite a lot of images of the Earth from the universe, even live TV from the space station to the Earth image. So why is this picture different?
Since its inception, NASA has had many space projects to learn about our neighbor's planets. However, they did not forget to learn about the planet we live in, it is Earth.
Recently NASA has published a picture of the Earth. So far, there have been quite a lot of images of the Earth from the universe, even live TV from the space station to the Earth image. So why is this picture different?
Because this is an image of the Earth seen from the universe at a great distance, about 870 million miles. And if you zoom in on the original image many times, the closest neighbor we will see is the Moon is just a tiny light dot.
The most special thing is the photo taken from Saturn's belt . With the gray "ring" above and the rest shining below, our Earth is too small in the middle.
This is a great photo, but don't forget to note the device that took it. The picture was taken from the Cassini spacecraft , and it will soon complete its mission to explore Saturn and end itself when plunging straight to the surface of Saturn, ending its 20-year journey.
