The tiny creature called Atacama Humanoid , nicknamed Ata, is about 15cm long, shaped like a human.
After finding this fossil specimen, many scientists thought it belonged to an alien or a monkey. The specimen is still stored at the institute to investigate and study extraterrestrial phenomena in Spain.
Professor Garry Nolan - head of stem cell biology at Medical University, Stanford, California - and his team went to Spain in September 2012 to conduct some research.
He had surgery, peripheral ribs cutting, DNA sampling and DNA testing, combined with the use of computer technology. Finally, Professor Nolan said Ata is not a monkey. It is a human, even closer to the ape.
He explained that this 'interesting mutation' is human, male gender, survived birth for six to eight years. Even when living it has breathed, eaten and transformed like a human being.
