Inventing a 10-year battery does not require charging

Researchers at Harvard University, USA have successfully developed new battery technology that can maintain energy for 10 years without charging.

In addition to the advantage of not having to charge the battery, the new battery can be used for many years without maintenance.

New energy technology is called "pin flow" , taking advantage of the ion exchange process between two electrodes to create an electric current. This battery is quite mobile and has many different applications but requires regular maintenance.

However, researchers have found a solution that makes the battery stable, maintenance-free and energy-free over time.

Testing showed that the battery lost only 1% of its energy after 1,000 full charges. This is an extremely low rate compared to today's lithium ion batteries, which have begun to decline in life expectancy as well as energy storage capacity after only a few hundred times of full charge. Even Apple considers the MacBook's battery to be "useless " after 1,000 charging cycles.

Currently, researchers have not aimed to use "threaded pin" for mobile devices. Instead, it will be used in solar and wind power.
