Japan develops breath-controlled mice
Japan has always been known for its unique and superior inventions. Recently, a team of researchers at Kinki University of the United States has developed an advanced technology that assists the disabled using computers by controlling the mouse through ... breathing. .
Using this mouse is quite simple, users can adjust its direction through inhalation into a dedicated tube. Sensitive sensors integrated in the mouse will recognize the strength - lightness of the breath to bring the mouse in the right direction.
To move the mouse over, the user just blows into the tube. If you want the mouse to go down, just blow a little. When the user inhales deeply, the mouse will move to the right and vice versa, when inhaled gently, the mouse will go to the left.
The team said they had tested the product with students and that it took about a week for the mice to breathe .
Hoping to bring their work to disabled people to help them easily use computers to connect with the community, Ichiro Kitayama, an associate professor at the university, said that he will actively cooperate with the disabled to soon perfect the "breath mouse".
The research team expects its unique product to be available in the market within two years.
