Kisses are good for women

Scientists believe that kissing action has been passed down for generations because it helps women strengthen their immune systems.

Previously, many scientists affirmed that kissing is one way for an individual to feel that his partner is the object of life. According to them, the saliva that the two sides exchange with each other helps us evaluate fertility, health and gene quality.

But psychologists from Leeds University and the University of Central Lancashire (UK) argue that people can evaluate these factors without having a strong affection.

" We can absolutely get information about the body odor, fertility, health, gene quality and many other things of a person by getting close to that person, not having to do the reception. "Kissing between two mouths. Kissing only helps us get a little bit of information. That can't be the reason it was passed down from generation to generation, " said Dr. Colin Hendrie, a psychologist. University of Leeds, affirmed.

A study by Hendrie and colleagues demonstrated that, during kissing, females receive Cytomegalovirus - a virus that exists in saliva. Under normal conditions this virus does not cause any problems. But when pregnant women can kill or cause some defects in the fetus (such as small heads, congenital heart disease). Because men transmit the virus to women through kisses, the women's immune system has enough time to fight it.

Hendrie said that when the emotional relationship between men and women progresses, the kiss will become more and more intense. The more women who kiss, the stronger the immune system, so they reduce their risk. When a woman is pregnant, the risk of her unborn baby also decreases.

In an article in the journal Medical Hypotheses , Dr. Hendrie said: "Kissing is one of the most effective ways to transmit viruses and saliva through the mouth of humans. But the ability to resist the disease of the immune system is only the most effective if a woman kisses a single man for 6 months or more ".
