Mr. John Tang Ing Chinh, a Malaysian gynecologist, has made a condom using a transparent thin film material with high elasticity and good water resistance, which can be used by both sexes.

According to Reuters news agency, doctor John Tang Ing Chinh said that the condom he invented was the first in the world for both sexes (unisex condom) , he named Wondaleaf.

This condom uses a transparent thin film made of polyurethane, which is often used as a medical tape. Mr. John Tang Ing Chinh hopes unisex condoms will help people have more effective and convenient reproductive health management tools, regardless of gender.

Each box of Wondaleaf product sold in the market with 2 condoms is expected to cost 14.99 ringgit ($3.61). This price is quite high compared to the average price of 20-40 ringgit ($4.8-9.6) for a box of 12 condoms currently in Malaysia.

According to Mr. Tang, Wondaleaf condoms, which have undergone several rounds of clinical research and testing, will be marketed on the company's website later this year.

"Based on the number of clinical trials we've done, I'm absolutely optimistic that this condom will be a meaningful addition to the methods of contraception already used to prevent pregnancy. unintended, to prevent sexually transmitted diseases , " said Mr. Tang.
