LG launches Flexible Battery Pack for Smartphone

LG has just launched three new battery products that could be equipped for future smartphones with the ability to bend in a variety of shapes, even wired ones that can be knotted.

In order to produce flexibly flexed screen smartphones, manufacturers must surely need a technology to create the battery that also has the same capabilities.

Right after the announcement, LG will launch its Curve G flex smartphone, which announced Tuesday that LG Chem has succeeded in producing a new type of battery with curved, cord.

LG Chem introduced the Cable Battler battery , followed by the curved battery and finally the ladder battery.

Curved battery is thought to be suitable for smartphones, smart clocks and smart glasses. LG Chem said that the product has been patented technology and opens the possibility of designing mobile devices with curved screens or flexible designs.

Stair batteries can be understood simply as two or more stacked batteries. This will be optimal with small and uneven battery spaces, as the device can not obtain the battery space as a rectangular box. This battery is also expected to increase the battery life by up to 16%. LG Chem said it is producing three to four step ladder batteries.

Cord form is arguably the most flexible when it can be used for any kind of device in shape, even the pin can be knotted. However, its drawbacks are its low battery capacity and high temperature resistance. Thus, it will fit into the wearable devices such as the smart watch.

LG Chem said it is producing curved and staggered batteries for the LG G2 and possibly the G Flex that will be available in the near future.

The information on smartphone screen bend is making the technology fever in recent days. Not only will LG announce the launch of the G Flex curved smartphone, Samsung has already launched the world's first Galaxy Round curved handset.
