Manufacture of storage and reconstitution machines
People who like to smell roses can soon bring this smell home or even send it to relatives who are far away. Scientists at the Tokyo Institute of Technology (UAE) are building a device to store and reproduce odors.
This device analyzes odors through 15 sensors, stores sample odor in digital form and then re-emits it by mixing 96 chemicals and evaporating results.
The new device is also capable of capturing odors somewhere - thanks to sensors in cell phones, for example - and transmits that smell to people enjoying it across the Earth.
