Mr. Thang's homemade helicopter.
At the end of 2013, Mr. Nguyen Van Thang, in Group 7, Gia Quat Street, Long Bien District, Hanoi City, built and successfully tested the helicopter. After that, Mr. Thang removed his wings, hung the helicopter on the roof and stopped the experiment.
Mr. Thang said, in early 2018, he sold a homemade helicopter to a friend in Can Tho. ' Because my home is narrow, there is no room for a helicopter. In addition, a friend of mine is passionate about technology and has asked me many times, then I resold the helicopter to my friend in Can Tho. Saying it is selling, in fact, I only took a few million dong, mainly supporting my friend's passion for technology , 'Thang said.
After being reminded by the authorities, Mr. Thang removed his wings, hung the helicopter on the roof and stopped the experiment.
The owner of the homemade helicopter, he recently met with engineer Bui Hien (Binh Duong) - who built a helicopter to take off more than 1 meter within 15 minutes in 2016.
'After that, engineer Bui Hien also occasionally went to my house to play and visit the house. We talked about the experience of manufacturing and operating the helicopter. Currently, I am preparing to start to build the 2nd helicopter with modern features and can fly higher, longer, 'Mr. Thang said.
Mr. Thang informed more, the construction of the 2nd helicopter will have the help and experience sharing of engineers in Binh Duong. Mr. Hien promised to provide materials and propellers to help Mr. Thang make the plane.
' I will continue to remove the motor from the old motorbike as an airplane engine. It is expected that the homemade version 2 aircraft can only carry 1 person, but the shape will be more compact than the first homemade helicopter. I am also calculating to install more electronic devices, seats, paint colors. Expected costs will also run out of nearly VND 200 million , 'Thang said.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thang, in Group 7, Gia Quat Street, Long Bien District, Hanoi City has successfully built and tested the helicopter.
Earlier, in 2013, during a reading that a man in Saigon built a plane, Mr. Thang had an idea to try it out. He went to buy high-elastic, good-strength steel to frame the aircraft. And the propeller of the aircraft, he bought plastic steel to create the backbone for the wing and then wrapped the stainless steel layer to re-weld
It took 3 months hard, plus the amount of 200 million VND for the purchase of raw materials, Mr. Thang completed the small helicopter. The helicopter uses Suzuki automobile engine 38kW, 2.0L, with a cycle of 4000-4500 rpm because it is so big, he has to reduce it to 700 rpm. The helicopter has a weight of 185kg, a height of 2m60, a width of 1m55, a tail body length of 6.8 and a wing length of 5.5m.
In early 2014, after 3 tests (the third time the helicopter flew off the ground 50cm), Mr. Thang was reminded by the authorities and had to stop researching and manufacturing.
