Mysterious carvings on ancient stones only appear in the moonlight

Signs of touching the ancient stone in the UK, which only show in the moonlight, are making archaeologists believe that there may be many hidden undiscovered messages.

When studying stone slabs Hendraburnick Quoit carved from the Stone Age in Cornwall, southwestern England, archaeologists discovered 10 times the number of signs that appear if observing the slab under the moonlight or light sunshine from the southeast.

After discovering 105 new circular and 47 shaped grooves, archaeologists found that the stone was used for moonlight ceremonies . This contrasts with the earlier assumption that the Stone Age period stones were created based on the movement of the Sun.

Dr Andy Jones of Cornwall Archaeological Unit told the Telegraph: "When we went to take photos at night, the flash turned on and suddenly we saw more pictures, which meant that they can be observed at night under the moonlight '.

The researchers also discovered that many pieces of quartzite were crushed around the slab Hendraburnick Quoit so that they sparkled in the dark.

Dr. Jones analyzed that the discovery is synonymous with many other stone works, similar to Stonehenge ancient rock located 231km away from Hendraburnick Quoit, which may contain mysterious messages engraved on the surface.
