NASA launched two outfits for astronauts to Mars

The first was PXS - prototype exploration spacesuit - developed to improve the efficiency of external vehicle exploration (EVAs) , walking in space, including on the lower orbit of the Earth and beyond. PXS adopts many different approaches to fit many different astronauts. Many details are made from 3D printing technology and therefore, it can be personalized for many people and for many different types of transport.

The second prototype is called Z2 - the clothes are designed specifically for vehicle control to explore the surface of the planets . This suit was designed by ILC Dover based on the spirit of use on Mars. By using a variety of high-end synthetic materials, Z2 promises to be lightweight, highly durable and resistant to Mars's environment. With the Z2, astronauts can move freely, both in the car and under the Martian surface, collecting soil samples, etc. And similar to PXS, Z2 also has a personalized feature to suit each person's height and waist.

Both suits will be tested and equipped with the Mobile Life Support System (PLSS) . This system will incorporate a CO ₂ removal system, with additional moisture regulation function. On the other hand, PLSS is capable of self-replicating by simply touching vacuum, more convenient than existing systems that take up to 14 hours to recover after each use. In addition, PLSS is equipped with an optional 84 oxygen control system, to provide optimal oxygen for each astronaut and even to provide direct therapy in suits.
