New equipment: Individual hydroelectric generator
Ibasei Corporation of Japan has announced a new idea in the field of power generation: a turbine can be placed in fast flowing water to generate a small amount of electricity that can be used locally or as a energy charging station.
Turbine Cappa
The machine is called Cappa , which is similar to a jet engine and can be easily installed in just a few minutes. For flowing water at 2m / s, the turbine generates about 250W of electricity. To increase the efficiency of the turbine, engineers designed a diffuser that made the water flow through the turbine's wings faster.
Representatives of Ibasei said that the Cappa was developed for a variety of purposes, from the use of on-site generators in outdoor parks to emergency precautions, especially in the case of floods.
One of the hindrances that the company may face is consumer hesitation, however, as the price of Cappa is relatively high - equivalent to a small car. However, they are still ready to start selling generators next year.
