On the morning of December 7, 1941, Japan suddenly launched a battle aimed at the US Navy base in Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. The element of surprise and the mighty attacks caused the American side to suffer severe consequences even though they had not officially participated in World War II. The attack pushed the United States into a war against the Nazis and allies.
