Persian newspapers reappear in the Afghan plateau
The Afghan Wildlife Conservation Association (WCS) has discovered the return of Persian leopard, a predator that has long since disappeared from the highlands.

The WCS camera and forest rangers recorded a series of images of the Persian leopard. It is evidence that this species still exists in the Hindu Kush plateau, Afghanistan.
There are also dozens of images of other wildlife species, including wild cats, wolves, and red foxes still living in this plateau.
Among the pictures taken, there are also scenes of locals hunting for wild animals.
The Afghan government is calling on WCS support with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) to take initiatives to protect wildlife, such as development. tourism, listing of species to be protected, developing new laws and regulations to protect the environment, access and educate community awareness .
