The first time China has brought female astronauts to space once again proves, women are fully capable of completing missions to conquer space.
According to unofficial statistics, so far, the world has more than 50 female astronauts from 7 countries have made flights into space.
Here are portraits of the world's most famous pilots:
Vladimirovna Tereshkova, Soviet nationality (born March 6, 1937) - the first female astronaut in the history of human exploration of the universe. On June 16, 1963, she flew into space on Vostok 6, during the flight of Chayka (Gull) around Earth orbit 48 rounds for nearly 3 days.
Svetlana Savitskaya (born August 8, 1948 in the Russian Federation) - the second female astronaut to fly into space, 19 years later Vladimirovna Tereshkova. She flew on the Soyuz T-7 spacecraft to Salyut-7 Space Station in 1982. When on Salyut-7 space station, Savitskaya was the first woman to make a walk in space (25 / July 1984). She went outside the Salyut-7 space station for 3 hours and 35 minutes.
Sally Kristen Ride (born May 26, 1951) - the first female American astronaut to fly into space in the shuttle Challenger crew on flight STS-7 on June 18, 1983. Previously there were two Soviet women Valentina Tereshkova flying in space in 1963 and Svetlana Savitskaya in 1982.
Shannon Matilda Well Lucid (born January 14, 1943) - American astronaut holds the record for the woman who has the longest living and working space. In 1996, she lived and worked in outer space for 188 days, including 179 days in the MIR space station. In total, she made five space flights with space shuttle: Discovery (1985), Atlantis (1989, 1991 and 1996) and Columbia (1993).
Ms. Roberta Bondar (born December 4, 1945) - medical doctor, the first female astronaut of Canada to fly and the universe. She is trusted by the US Aerospace Agency (NASA) in the field of space medicine. She flew into space on NASA's space shuttle Discovery in the STS-42 mission to perform tasks in the IML-1 space lab from January 22-30, 1992.
Ms. Chiaki Mukai (born May 6, 1952) - Japan's first doctor, female astronaut and Japan's first female astronaut to make two flights into space. It was the STS-65 mission in July 1994 on the space shuttle Columbia (USA) and the second STS-95 mission in 1998 on the Space Shuttle Discovery (USA). The total time Ms. Mukai stayed in the space was 28 days.
Ms. Eileen Marie Collins (born November 19, 1956), the first female pilot and the first female commander to drive an American space shuttle. In total, she had 38 days and 08 hours in space, carrying out four flights on space shuttle Discovery (STS-63 mission, 1995), Atlantis (STS-84 mission, 1997), Columbia (only the task of STS-93, 1999) and Discovery (task STS-114, 2005).
Mrs. Claudie Haigneré (born May 13, 1957), the first French astronaut, worked at the European Space Agency (1999-2002). Ms. Haigneré was on the MIR Space Station for 16 days in 1996. In 2001, Ms. Haigneré became the first European woman to set foot in the International Space Station (ISS).
Ms. Yi So-Yeon (born June 2, 1978), the first female astronaut in Korea, flew to ISS on the Russian Soyuz TMA-12 on April 8, 2008. She is the second Asian astronaut to fly into the space behind Mrs. Chiaki Mukai.
