Pregnant grief made me retarded
Women who are depressed during pregnancy can make their babies aware more slowly than their peers, a British study warns.
Until now, maternal postpartum depression is still considered to be the cause of this condition, but researchers said that antenatal depression is also influential.
The study investigated the records of 11,098 women and their children born between 1991 and 1992. The group assessed the depression of women during pregnancy, then investigated the relationship between this and any any developmental problem in the child.

As a result, women who are sadly pregnant when pregnant are 50% more likely to have children with development problems. Of these, 34% of this increase is independently related to antenatal depression, unrelated to other factors (the rest may be due to prenatal depression resulting in postpartum depression - a factor risk of causing children to grow slowly.
Dr Toity Deave, from the Center for Youth and Children Health at the University of West England, said: "The most important finding is that pregnancy depression in the mother's table has a negative impact on the development of reception. consciousness of the child, even after considering postpartum depression ".
