Remote measuring device of a math student

Three laser lights, several student measures, Nguyen Van Ha Uy successfully built a multi-function meter, used to measure high, long and wide quantities of any object within 200m.

Currently Uy is a 12th grade student at Le Quy Don High School, Da Nang City.

Multi-purpose measuring machine manufactured by Uy is not only a practical device for Math but also can be applied in many life. This device has just won the second prize in the National Thanh - Teen Creative Competition 2009.

Currently, there are many laser devices used to measure but most of these products only measure a certain value (height or distance .). Some multi-functional devices have complex structure, applying many new technologies, high price.

From that fact, Uy is determined to build a new device that can solve the above problems. Uy's device has the ability to measure any two points in any space. Since then, we can calculate many other quantities such as perimeter, area, volume . Moreover, this device has a simple structure, relatively cheap price.

The device consists of a tripod that can vary in length to fit a variety of terrain, a student scale with three laser lights, power source, binoculars. If a good laser lamp is used, the measuring distance of the device will be beyond 200m.

The operation principle of the device is quite simple. Users only need to move the laser lights so that the light emitted from each lamp comes to the right point. With large distances, users will use binoculars to direct the laser point into the correct object.

When the laser lights move and project the right spot, measure the movement according to the corresponding data. Then, with a few simple calculations, there is a distance result.

Immediately after completion, Uy performed for classmates and teachers at the school to see his equipment. My teachers and friends were surprised because with just a few simple steps, I could measure the height or volume of a building.

Fabrication for less boring hours

Uyen, the reason for making this device is because you want more lively learning equipment. Because according to this math student, practice is the weakest stage of Vietnamese students. 'In many schools, very little practice equipment, boring exercises. In my opinion, that's why Vietnamese students have high achievements in international examinations, but they are poor in practice, 'Uy said.

Therefore, one of Uy's special wishes for making this device is to make it interesting for students in each Math practice thanks to its versatility and versatility.

The device operates based on the application of mathematical theorems from grade 8 to grade 12, so it can be widely applied in middle and high schools to practice equipment.

This math student also hopes, with the ability to apply very flexibly, this device will be widely applied in life, not just a device used in pure learning practice.
