Rifling 3D rifles sometimes release bullets

The 5.6 caliber gun barrel made mostly of plastic molded from a 3D printer could fire successfully, but then broke double.

Less than two months after the first American pistol was printed in a 3D machine, a man in Canada, named Matt, made the same rifle.

Matt, from British Columbia, spent nearly 27 hours printing gun parts, and spent three days mounting a special gun.

Specifically, he spent 13 hours in the gun body, it cost 6½ hours, 5-hour gun and printed internal components took another 2 hours.

When firing, the barrel was twisted and the gun body cracked a longitudinal line, but the bullets still successfully released.

Matt says he's redesigning and will try shooting again.

3D guns are a controversial subject, and some US lawmakers are struggling to get around this law.
