The giant marine scorpion Jaekelopterus is one of the two largest arthropods ever discovered.

Fossils indicate that the Jaekelopterus marine scorpion is 2.5m long. They are one of the two largest arthropod species ever discovered (the other is the Arthropleura, today's centipede).

Dunkleosteus is the largest fish in prehistoric times. Its head and chest are covered with bone-like plates. Instead of teeth, these fish possess two sharp bones, forming a bird-like structure.

Dunkleosteus is capable of attacking with its armored jaws strong enough to tear apart prey that also has armored leather like me. They are dubbed the " ocean nightmare" for all prehistoric marine animals.

This fish shows that they are up to 10 m long and weigh about 4 tons.

This Purussaurus monster alligator lives in the Miocene , 8 million years from us.

With a total body length of up to 13m, weighing nearly 10 tons, Purussaurus is the largest and most ferocious crocodile in Earth's history.

9. Giant squid
