The Russian National Space Agency and the National Academy of Sciences have announced that they are promoting a major project to prevent dangerous asteroids that could threaten Earth.

Oleg Ostapenko, director of the Russian National Space Agency (Roskosmos), said the two leading agencies of Russia's space science industry will look more specifically at the giant meteorite that is expected to threaten the Left. land in 2032.

Recently, astronomers in the Crimea after discovering an asteroid with a diameter of about 1,300 meters wandering through the universe with orbit right on the Earth's path predicted that this meteorite could plunged into Earth after 19 years.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin urged cosmologists to study measures to achieve the "ultimate goal" of preventing the asteroid from causing the apocalyptic disaster for Earth.

Mr. Ostapenko said his agency would find an effective way to deal with the asteroid's threat. He said: 'We will formulate these objects, including meteorites. However, first we need to work out a plan to determine what to do and how to do it. We are currently working with the Russian Academy of Sciences to implement this plan. "

He said that the task of dealing with meteorites assigned by the deputy prime minister is a complex issue that requires "to exploit the full power of Russia".

The asteroid called 2013 TV135 was discovered by scientists at Crimea Astronomical Station (Ukraine) on October 12. It is now following orbit towards Jupiter, and will then return closer to Earth's orbit.

The existence of this meteorite is also confirmed by two other astronomers around the world. According to scientists' calculations, the meteorite will return to Earth on August 26, 2032, although the rate of this meteorite hitting the Earth is only 1/63,000.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin suggested the United Nations build an anti-meteor shield worldwide to eliminate any risk of meteorite attacks on Earth, although he stressed that it currently There is no space force in the world to have effective technology to protect the Earth.
