Every year many people die or are injured by thunderstorms. The reason is that thunderstorms often happen suddenly, progress quickly, some cases have warnings but few people pay attention. If you hear thunder, you are definitely near the lightning strike area. Meteorologists recommend that you stay at the shelter for at least 30 minutes after hearing thunder.

Absolutely do not call when standing outside in the rain (including indoors) if not necessary. Your phone may be the main cause of lightning.

If you are outside and cannot find shelter in your home, avoid high ground areas, empty hills, runways or small puddles because it can become a large lake that engulfs you when there is heavy rain. Don't hide in a warehouse or picnic tent because it's not safe places.
