Sitting on the plane where the safest?

If you travel by plane, do you know which seat is the safest? Experts point out that there are some places on the plane that have the highest survival rate.

Which position on the plane is the safest?

In an article published in late June, Time magazine (USA) said the above statistics were based on a study of aircraft accidents in the past 35 years conducted by the magazine.

Through reviewing data on the number of deaths and survivors of aircraft accidents from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Time found that the seat at the tail section of the aircraft had a death rate of 31%, compared to 44% of seats in the trunk and 51% of the seats in the first part.

In addition, the American magazine found that the middle seats in the tail section had a mortality rate of 28% , the lowest of the remaining positions in an aircraft.

The seat with the highest mortality rate is the side seats on the fuselage, reaching 44% , according to Time.

However, the American magazine also cautiously added that the likelihood of dying in a plane crash depends on situations involving accidents rather than where passengers sit.

The results of Popular Mechanics magazine: The survival rate in the last seats is the highest, 69%;the middle seat is 56% and the first seat is 49%.

'If the tail of the plane is the worst when the bad situation happens, the people sitting in the body or the head may be safer than the passengers sitting in the tail,' commented Time.

' We found that the survivors happened randomly in some accidents; Accordingly, those who die sit together with those who are fortunate to survive. It is also for this reason that FAA and aviation safety experts warn that no seat is the safest on the plane , 'the American magazine said.

Even so, Time magazine said there is one thing to be sure - that aviation is a very safe way to move and that it has become more and more secure in recent decades.

' This is especially true compared to other means of transportation. The death rate when traveling by car is 1/112, walking is 1/700 and traveling by two-wheeler is 1/900. For aircraft, this ratio is only 1 / 8,000 ' , Time said.
