Recently, Korean authorities have decided to pilot 30 robots to teach English to some elementary schools in the country.

This is a very welcome project to promote the nascent robot industry of Korea.

Engkey , the name of the white robots, is about one meter high, produced by the Korea Institute of Science and Technology , who has become an English teacher for 21 elementary school students in the city of Deagu, South Korea.

With the television screen displayed on the robot's face and the wheel that helps this special teacher roll around the room, Engkey can tell the students, read textbooks and dance to the music by swinging their heads and hands. In addition, robotic teachers are also programmed to sing and play letters with kids.

According to Sagong Seong-Dae , a scientist at the Korean Academy of Science and Technology, these whitening robots are run by English teachers in the Philippines. They can see and hear students speak through the remote control system. There will be a camera tracking the facial expressions of the Filipino teacher and immediately show up on the robot's face across the screen.

Although the robots are still in the process of development, robot teachers are clearly loved by the students and welcome.

Since there are special teachers, they are more excited to learn and participate in building lessons, even the very shy children are also very excited and comfortable to talk to the teacher who machine.

Education administrators, on the other hand, are very pleased with this particular teacher, because he never asks for insurance, rests when sick or unexpectedly leaves. All they have to do to keep the master is to maintain and periodically upgrade the robot's health .
