Strange civilizations were accidentally forgotten by humanity

Everyone knows the Mayan civilization or the ancient Egyptians. But besides, there are many civilizations that play an important role in history, but are accidentally forgotten.

Surely no one is stranger to the ancient Egyptian pyramid, the Greek sculpture and temple or the Mayan "holy" calendar.

However, that is not all of the world. There are civilizations, though very large and important in history, but are rarely mentioned.

The list below is those civilizations.

1. Silla Dynasty (Silla)

It can be said that Silla was one of the longest reigning dynasties ever, with the power to dominate most of the Korean peninsula, from 57 BC until 935 - nearly 1,000 years.

However, with very few relics left, archaeologists encountered quite a lot of difficulties in the study of humans in this period. And only in 2013, it was found an intact skeleton of a woman over 30 years old, near the historic capital of Silla (Gyeongju).

Through the analysis of jaws and skulls, archaeologists have come to a conclusion: thousands of years ago the Silla people knew vegetarianism grew foods such as rice, potatoes and wheat.

It is known that the Silla dynasty was founded by King Bak Hyeokgeose . According to many legends, the king hatched from a mysterious egg in the forest, then married a queen born from the dragon's ribs.

Through many ups and downs of time, Silla gradually established a hierarchical society, with many wealthy aristocracy.

So far, the Silla's remains are extremely rare. But archaeologists have excavated a lot of antiquities in this period, including the daggers made of gold and rubies, cast iron statues, or jewels of jade and many ancient jewels. Other objects are displayed at the Gyeongju Museum in Korea.

2. Culture of the Three Sisters (Sanxingdui)

In 1929, in China, a farmer discovered many antiques in his garden. Those were the first artifacts of the Three-Siege culture.

The research that was carried out in 1986 found countless sculptures from jade and copper up to 2.4 meters tall, marking the existence of the most prosperous Bronze Age civilization.

So the question is, who are these three Sanxing people? Some archaeologists think that they may be the ancestors of the gilding technique (according to the Chinese Museum of the Three Jewels in China).

However, the Tam Tinh Doi civilization did not last long, from 2800 to 3000 years ago, this place became an abandoned land. It was only until the relics were found in the nearby ancient town of Kim Sa that people learned of the new land where the Tam Tinh Doi people were settling down.

So what happened? According to the researchers, at that time, it was a large earthquake that diverted the Dan River (Minjiang), separating Sanxingdui from the water source and creating a resettlement.

3. Nok culture

Very few people know about the mysterious culture of Nok in northern Nigeria today. However, it actually existed from about 1000 BC to 300.

Evidence of Nok's existence was discovered by chance in the tin mining process in 1943. According to the Museum of Art in New York, miners found part of a human head made of earth , signs of a rich sculpture tradition.

Later, many other meticulous sculpture objects were also found, such as jewelry, batons or earthwork - the symbol of power that can be found in ancient Greek art .

The mysteries surrounding the Nok civilization caused many artifacts to be taken before being analyzed. In 2012, the US returned many artifacts to Nigeria, after they were stolen from Nigeria's national museum and smuggled to the United States.

4. Etruscans civilization

In the years 700-800 BC, in northern Italy, after merging with Rome, Etruscans seemed to be the land with the most prosperous culture. They developed a unique writing language and left behind many luxurious tombstones, including the excavated prince's resting place in 2013.

Etruscan people believe in theology and excavated artifacts also show that religious rituals are an integral part of everyday life.

This is also the civilization that first described the problem of childbirth in Western culture - the image of the squatting goddess of childbirth - found in an Etruscan church at Poggio Colla. And also at that location, archaeologists found a sandstone slab (1.2m long) carved into Etruscan language.

Currently, according to statistics, there are very few writings of Etruscan people left. Another Etruscan territory, Poggio Civitate, was also found, a square surrounded by small yards. According to an archaeologist with 25,000 antiquities, this building is considered to be the largest construction project in the Mediterranean at that time.

5. Mysterious Punt lands

Many civilizations are mostly known only from the notes of other countries. This is the mysterious land of Punt, a kingdom located somewhere in Africa known from trade with ancient Egyptians.

Both kingdoms exchanged goods from at least the 25th century BC, during the reign of Pharaoh Khufu (the builder of the Giza pyramid - one of the seven wonders of the world).

But strangely, no one really knows where the kingdom of Punt is. The Egyptians left a lot of descriptions from the goods exchanged from Punt (gold, ebony, frankincense) and the voyages to this missing kingdom.

However, the Egyptians had no record of which positions these long journeys were heading to.

Many scholars believe that the kingdom of Punt is located somewhere in Arabia, or in East North Africa and may also be downstream of the Nile near the southern borders of Sudan and Ethiopia.

6. Indus civilization

Indus is the largest ancient local civilization known today, stretching from the Indus River, today Pakistan's territory to the Arabian Sea and Ganges in India. This civilization has existed for thousands of years, from about 3300 BC to 1600.

The Indus , also known as the Harappan people , developed sewer and drainage systems for their cities, built large walls and granaries, produced pottery and beads of jewelry.

They even know to take care of their teeth. Scientists have found 11 adult molars that were traced by adults who lived 7,500 to 9,000 years ago in the Indus Valley, according to a study published in Nature in 2006.

A 2012 study found that climate change reduced monsoon rains and caused droughts in many areas of Harappan territory, forcing them to gradually disperse to more humid climates. .

7. Bell-beaker civilization

This civilization is named after the artifact found. A pottery-filled artifact is shaped like a bell beaker (bell-shaped vase).

Residents of this civilization lived throughout Europe between the years of 2800 and 1800 BC. In addition to the pottery, they left bronze artifacts and graves, including a cemetery of 154 tombs in the Czech Republic today.

These are also the people who built part of the Stonehenge megalithic stone project in Wales, according to researchers.
