Vatnajökull is one of the largest ice regions in Europe, once taken as the backdrop for the movie "Kingship".
Einar Runar Sigurdsson, Mikael Buck's tour guide, took photos at the entrance to the cave.
Buck recorded the view from the Vatnajökull glacier on the way to the cave.To get here, it took them 2 hours of walking.
Buck said: "The glorious caves are utterly unthinkable, making us feel lost in another world".
Einar Runar Sigurdsson is climbing the ice wall. The color and scenery created by snow and volcanic ash is the dream of any photographer.
Buck's guides are very experienced. They have been doing this for generations.
Tour guide Helen Maria stands in front of the ice waterfall.
Einar Runar Sigurdsson helps Buck to have moments of magical discovery. She often went to check the caves in early winter before taking the tour.
Each year, the shape of the cave changes due to ice melting in the summer and part of the river moving.
