Swallow birds fly fast beyond imagination

Picture 1 of Swallow birds fly fast beyond imagination How fast is swallow swallow? This question has recently been answered by Canadian scientists.

According to them, the swallow bird can fly about 7,500 km from the Amazon basin in Brazil to North America in . 13 days. Thus, this small bird overcomes 577 km flight every day, a record beyond the imagination of scientists.

To measure the distance and flight time of swallow birds, a group of scientists led by biologist Bridget Stutchbury of York University in Toronto, has placed a bird on the navigation device with weight. 1.5 grams, enough to not affect the bird's flight speed.

This device stores all the information, through which scientists capture daily updated data on the setting sun, the rising sun, as well as determine the bird's altitude and flight itinerary.

About 20 swallow swallows have been mounted by scientists in Pennsylvania, USA. These birds flew in the winter and the scientists waited for them to return to last spring to recapture and study the data.

Stutchbury said the project not only helped them determine the flight speed of the swallow, but also learned that the bird in the spring flies two to six times faster than Fall. An average swallow bird takes 43 days to fly to Brazil in the Fall, but it only takes 13 days to fly back in the Spring.

According to scientists, the cause of this difference in speed is due to the eagerness to return to the nest in the Spring to find a better partner and better shelter.

Swallow Birds are one of the best flying birds. They use most of the time in the air: hunting, couples, even . sleeping while flying. On average, a swallow bird flies a total of 4.5 million km, equivalent to 6 trips to the Moon and then back, or about . 100 around the Earth.
