The famous Vietnamese-Australian inventor Nguyen Hung has just been selected as the representative of New South Wales state, competing for the Australian of 2012.

Professor Nguyen Hung lives in Castle Hill, is the Deputy Head of the Department of Engineering and Information Technology at the University of Technology Sydney, Australia. For the past 20 years, the professor has invented useful inventions with patients. Therefore, he was dubbed "The teacher of inventions".

One of the groundbreaking medical inventions is the Aviator initiative - the "smart wheelchair" technology ranked third in the Australian Anthill business magazine "Top 100 Australian Inventors" . To create this car, he spent 10 years researching it.

"The smart wheelchair has created a revolution for paralyzed people. It is designed to function as a robot that can move itself and avoid objects that they see through cameras mounted on cars. The car The rollers can move according to the command from shaking their heads, their faces, even their own thoughts , " Professor Hung informed.

"What I am trying to do is help others. Being nominated for the Australian Prize of the Year makes me very surprised and happy," he said.

Professor Nguyen Hung and his colleagues also studied many medical inventions such as diabetes monitoring device, which helps to measure blood sugar levels below the prescribed level and connect to an alarm system to help the patient avoids complications due to hypoglycemia, without having to take blood for testing.

Besides, Professor Hung's team also invented the device to detect early breast cancer, hypoglycemic machine, health checker for drivers.
