The fantasy world through the best photos honored by National Geographic
The annual competition attracts up to 15,000 photographers around the world with beautiful photos to attend.
National Geographic Travel Photographer of the Year is a prestigious photo contest organized by National Geographic every year. Here the photographers will show the best pictures of the beauty and diversity of nature, the majestic wonders of the Earth as well as the scenes that overwhelm the viewers.

The best photo of the competition, 'The Power Of Nature' - The power of nature
The photo by Sergio Tapiro Velasco was honored with the highest rank in the natural photo section, capturing a rare moment when the Colima volcano in Mexico erupted in December 2015.
At that time, the photographer was in the neighboring village of Comala and witnessed this majestic setting, the volcanic ash cloud created lightning that illuminated a night sky.
'Forest of the Fairy' , taken in Tamba, Japan
The picture was taken at every village outside the Tamba region, Japan. The scene becomes really magical when in a summer evening, there are lots of fireflies glowing around the steps leading up to the temple of the indigenous people here.
Marble Caves, Chile
The photo was taken in a beautiful cave of Chile. At that time, two photographers, who were also father and son, were on their long travels. It took them more than 10 hours to drive and travel by boat to capture this picture.

Henningsvær Football Field, Henningsvær, Nordland, Norway
Located on Lofoten Island, Henningsvær football field is considered one of the most beautiful buildings in Europe. The photo above is recorded during a trip from the city of Tromsø to Lofoten. After a cold and wet rainy week, the sky finally cleared to make the drone work, and take a photo from a height of 120m.
Workship, Konya, Turkey
The photo shows light rays coming down through the holes of the historic building in Konya, Turkey, while a Muslim disciple is performing a ritual dance. This ritual represents human faith in faith, love and the cycle of reincarnation of all living things on Earth.

The honoree photo of the viewer vote, showing the scene of a tiny hummingbird eating pollen at an Ecuadorian forest.
Interesting Moment, Amsterdam, Netherlands
Awarded the second prize in the category of people, this photo captures the scene of the audience admiring the painting of Rembrandt at the Rijkmuseum, Amsterdam. The interesting point in the picture is that it seems that the people in the picture are also talking about the visitors, and vice versa.
MT. Bromo, Java, Indonesia
Bromo is a volcano located east of Java city in Indonesia. In January 2016, along with some unusual geological activity, this volcano erupted and created ash clouds that covered a sky.
