The first breed appeared on earth
According to the latest research by scientists, Akita, Saluki, Alaska . are the earliest dog breeds on earth.
The dog with the alias 'Major' is considered the first known example of a modern breed. Description of this dog appeared in a 1965 magazine under Victorian named The Field.
The dog has the alias "Major"
This is considered to be the earliest dog breed fully reported in both surgery and pedigree. Currently, 'Major' is the subject of research by Michael Worboys, director of the Center for Historical Science at Manchester University. Worboy and his colleagues searched for information regarding 'Major' while preparing a museum dedicated to dogs.
The first trace of domestic pet dogs was found about 31,700 years ago . 'The most significant difference between ancient and modern dogs is the size of the teeth,' said paleontologist Mietje Germonpre. According to what it was found, the ancient dog breed had very large teeth.
Archaeological relics of ancient dogs show that they have many similarities with Siberian husky species , but are larger in size. Today, Siberia, Samoyed and Alaska husky breeds have a lot in common.
The earliest dog breeds on earth, mostly breeds that appear in England, are displayed in Worboy's Manchester University museum and colleagues, called 'England and typical dogs'. .
Another Heidi Parker research team at the National Gene Research Institute, uses DNA to analyze the relationship between genes and the number of breeds created. An ancient type of dog was an Afghan hunting dog , originally from the Middle East. It is one of the oldest breeds to date, used primarily for hunting rabbits and antelopes.
Parker also found evidence that Akita was an old dog.Akita dogs originated in Asia, carrying the same gene as the chow chow. However, dominant traits do not appear in Akita dogs when they appear. 'The first Akita dogs appeared in 1859, not the same as the current Akita breed, and were raised for hunting purposes.'
The Saluk i little dog comes from Iran, where their ancestors used to live near the first farmers of the fertile Crescent. The dog in this land, so likely has evolved the ability to eat starchy foods from about 12,000 years ago.
'Our studies show that the ancestors of dogs are rarely able to digest starch-rich foods , ' said Erik Axelsson, Uppsala University. ' That indicates that purebred dogs are most likely related to wet rice civilization. It is likely that the ancestors of saluki lived near places where agriculture developed early, such as the fertile Crescent and China. '
In the United States, Alaska is the oldest dog that humans keep. DNA studies show that they have similar genetic resources to Siberian husky species. Alaska dogs have great appearance and good health, often used to pull sleds, transport goods and many other jobs.
The Basenji dog is "an ancient breed of dog originally from Africa" , while 'Major' is the first breed to be studied and recorded in history, Baseji is the first breed to be breed by children. Even though the dog bears the characteristics of Central Africa, archaeologists still believe that their ancestors were wolves from East Asia.
In China, the intimate chow chow is Songshi Quan , meaning 'lion dog'. This is a species that has the same gene as Akita, also originated from Asia, but studies show that this chow chow was born earlier.
One of the four oldest Asian dogs, the Shar-pei, has an ancestral species of wolf, and is also the earliest species in Asia. Shar-pei is famous for its dark blue wrinkles and tongue. Scientists believe that the mutation may have created wrinkles on the skin of this type of dog, a trait similar to human skin.
